- Voted against a bill HB 627 (2023) that would allow snares for wolf trapping right outside of grizzly bear recovery zones and lynx protection zones.  Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks currently has discretion on where to permit snares.  Eliminating the use of snares anywhere is a win.  The bill was subsequently defeated in the House.

- Voted against four anti-wolf bills.  HB 224 (2021) allowed for the snaring of wolves.  HB225 (2021) extended the wolf trapping season by 30 days and allowed for trapping near national parks.  SB267 (2021) authorized reimbursement for killing wolves and established wolf bounties.  SB314 (2021) allowed for the loosening of wolf hunting regulations including unlimited harvest, baiting, and the use of spotlighting and night vision.  All four bills subsequently passed and were signed into law by Governor Gianforte.
